George Anthony Toma, CEO of George Washington Toma TV and Appliance, is proud to partner with Wellspring in its community service efforts, in particular the support of Aunt Dot’s Kitchen and Wellspring’s Food Program.
Carrying on the tradition established by his dad George Washington Toma, who founded the business in 1953, son George and Team Toma actively volunteer and support South Shore non-profits through contributions, events, and volunteerism. George has been a Trustee on Wellspring’s Foundation since 2019. More than once, he has literally saved Wellspring’s perishables by providing refrigerators and freezers when emergencies have arisen and as Wellspring has grown.
George stated that, “As a family-owned business, building lasting relationships with our community goes far beyond customer transactions. My parents taught us how important it is to help others and to get involved. They set a high bar for all of us that we hope we will reach. With Wellspring, we have been able to contribute to its extensive food preparation and delivery programs on the South Shore.” Most recently, adding appliances to Wellspring’s new in-house kitchen, which provides fresh baked meals and opportunities for internships, has been a philanthropic feast for Team Toma. Everyone knows someone affected by poverty, health issues or just plain bad luck. George added, “We are proud to help those challenged by such issues through Wellspring’s comprehensive client-focused programs.” Thank you, George and Team Toma!
