Rev. Jennie Barrett Siegal

Rev. Jennie Barrett Siegal is the Senior Pastor of Old South Union Church (United Church of Christ) in South Weymouth. She has served as Senior Pastor since 2013, becoming the church’s first female Senior Pastor in its 300-year history. Prior to that, she served for six years as the church's Associate Pastor. Rev. Jennie is widely respected for building broad-based community partnerships and offering a compassionate public voice during moments of both celebration and crisis. In addition to her local parish ministry, Rev. Jennie has significant governance and board leadership experience, including serving as the past President of the Massachusetts Council of Churches, where she helped guide ecumenical initiatives around racial injustice, public witness, and statewide collaboration among Christian communities. She also served as a member of the Tufts Library Construction Committee in Weymouth.

Rev. Jennie is originally from Rochester, NY, where she was born and raised. She is a graduate of Vassar College and received her Master of Divinity degree from Harvard Divinity School. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and reading (and reading cookbooks!), and she loves to spend time with family and friends.
