Rev. Amy Whitcomb Slemmer

Rev. Amy Whitcomb Slemmer served as the Executive Director of Health Care For All for eight years, after spending more than twenty years in the field of health policy and management. Prior to joining Health Care For All, Whitcomb Slemmer led a number of organizations dedicated to the improvement of the human condition, including serving as the Executive Officer of American Red Cross Biomedical Services; as Executive Director of D.C. Vote; and as legislative counsel for the National Association of People with AIDS. She was the Director of Public Education for the Health Care Reform Project, and began her career as a member of Senator Edward M. Kennedy’s healthcare policy sta¬ff. Amy Whitcomb Slemmer earned a Juris Doctor from Georgetown Law and graduated with honors from Wheaton College. Recently, Amy graduated from the Episcopal Divinity School and has been ordained an Episcopal Priest.
